May 2024
Latest News:
There isn’t much art to show for May, other than a handful of sketches. Time really got away from me.
The latest one is a drawing of a black greyhound, done in charcoal.
Usually my process is to just work on the drawing, hoping I remember to stop and take a picture periodically, so that I can post some progress shots.
On this one, I gave more thought ahead of time to trying to find a more interesting way to post it. While I felt like this disrupted the flow of the work more than usual, stopping to take some videos, I think that the content I made to post is better.
I’m not really sure where this is going, but if I could post better quality content maybe my accounts would grow more.
In The Studio:
There is a new drawing on a canvas, just waiting to be painted. It will be an exercise in painting a black dog, I find them especially challenging. I’m planning on doing it in acrylic, mainly because I don’t want to wait for oil paint to dry.
I have some ideas for future projects, time will tell if I can overcome my recent lack of focus in the month ahead and get some things done.
At Home:
Things at home have been quiet, thank goodness!
While there is never any shortage of chores and work to be done, the mild weather of our early spring really has been shifting toward summer lately.
The longer days, lots of flowers, and warm breezy evenings, have been very enjoyable, and spending that time playing with, and hanging out with my fabulous dogs is really the brightest part of my day!
I hope all is well in your world, with lots of sunny skies and the scent of flowers in the air.
Take care!
