April 2024
Latest News:
There are two new print releases available in the print shop.
Both are Italian Greyhound portraits. One is a white Iggy in the bright warm sunshine and the other is a dark Iggy in a dark rich atmosphere.
They are both printed on high-quality Luster paper and look beautiful as standalone pieces or displayed together as a pair.

In The Studio:
This month I did a couple of tiny paintings.
These make really good learning pieces, where I feel good about experimenting with different compositions and/or mediums, without the pressure of a larger project. I’m hoping to do more of these soon.
I finally finished an anatomy study that I started months ago. I had started an online course, and this study was one of the assignments. Then, as time got shifted to other responsibilities and projects, the anatomy project sat on the back burner. I would like to get back into that course and the assignments soon. Having a better understanding of dog anatomy would really help improve my ability to draw and paint them.
The Galgo and Podenco T-shirts I had made for myself arrived, and I really love how they turned out!
I’m thinking of making them available to buy on a short term, pre-order basis, if there is any interest. So keep your eye out for a post about this, coming soon, if you think it’s something you would like.
At Home:
This past month has flown by!
The great eclipse came and went. I have to admit that I think it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I feel truly blessed to have been able to see it, it was a once in a lifetime experience.
My little (mostly) blind dog had his three month check up with the ophthalmologist, and so far he’s doing great!
The current meds he’s on are controlling his eye pressure and the inflammation. This news has been a big weight off my heart, at least for now.
And then there is spring! The arrival of spring, which seems early this year, is very welcome. While it is still a bit chilly most days and we are getting plenty of rain, I love that there are flowers in bloom, the days are much longer, and even that the lawn needs to be mowed every week. The bleeding hearts, daffodils, and lilacs are in full bloom, and the lilacs are even full of butterflies today!
I hope that you are doing well, with lots of bright happy days in store for you in the month ahead.
God bless!
