January
While the holiday season overall was peaceful and bright, for me, January can seem a little blue.
Living in Ohio, we are heading into the longest, coldest part of winter. While I am thankful that the days are slowly getting longer, the nighttime temperatures are dipping into single digits (Fahrenheit), and we have had a lot of snow. Snow can be very beautiful, but shoveling snow is very hard work, and a chore that cannot be postponed or ignored.
Latest News:
There have been three new print releases since the last newsletter!
All are available in the shop, so feel free to go have a look!
In The Studio:
The next significant project that I would really love to tackle is getting the Originals shop open!
I need to get some paintings mounted, varnished, and framed so that they are ready to ship, and make some product listings for them.
This work isn’t difficult, but the demands of everyday life seem to take up too much time. And when I have free time, I want to paint!
Hopefully I will get this accomplished soon!
At Home:
The handsome Podenco is doing really well with his medical condition. It’s likely that there will still be changes in his medications in the future, but he did great at his recheck this week, and he now has 6 weeks until his next check up.
He’s playful and happy, and has quite recently discovered the joys of getting buried in soft blankets and also of sleeping in front of a heat register.
The little man is his usual spunky, sassy self! He has long appreciated nesting, covered in blankets, and knows that when he hears the furnace click on, a heat register is the place to be. He learned both of these things early on from his amazing Chihuahua sister, who still watches over us from above.
As we forge ahead (dreaming of spring), I hope that all of you are well; healthy and happy, with sunny days ahead!
Thank you so much for being here, a part of this journey with dogs and art! God bless!
