July Flies By
Latest News:
There are two new print releases for the month of July.
One is Sunflower Dreams, with a Galgo and two Podencos galloping with glee down a path through a field of sunflowers.
The dogs are full of the joy that summertime brings.
The second print is Proud Podencos, a Podenco Canario and an Ibizan Hound, standing together, looking positively regal. The warm hues of the background set off the coppery tones in their shiny coats.
Both images were hand-painted, digitally, in Procreate (no AI), and are available as high resolution prints on luster paper, 8 x 10“.
Visit the print shop to see the full images and for more information.
In The Studio:
This past month I have mostly just been having fun with making digital paintings. I’ve really been enjoying my time spent painting.
I still have a few other projects in process, but I haven’t made much progress on them.
That problem where there are so many things that I want to work on, and such a limited amount of time to do it, is a good problem to have. It will all get done eventually (I hope), but I have to work on each project in small manageable pieces.
At Home:
Life at home often revolves around my little dog, which is the way I like it.
We have been continuing to work this month and getting him more comfortable with vet visits, and getting all of his care up-to-date.
This month he had an exam and vax update, but he became very overwhelmed when we tried to do a blood draw (for routine blood tests). We stopped, and he went back a couple of weeks later for just the blood draw. He did excellent at that visit, and we come ever closer to getting things all up-to-date.
I’ve been seeing my little boy trying to play with the neighbor’s dogs through the fence, and it makes me so sad. I know he needs a new housemate.
So, I have even ventured to take my little broken heart down the path of looking at dogs that are available for adoption.
I found one that seems (on paper) like she would be a really nice fit with our little family, so I filled out the application. We’ll see!
I hope you’re having a wonderful summer, it seems to be flying by! I say that as if we are all on the same seasons. If your world is in winter right now, I hope it’s mild and you are enjoying the cooler temperatures.
Thank you so much for being here!
XO
Jennifer.
