Dog art paintings by Jennifer Robak Joy of Summer Sighthounds on beach Windy Day Galgos in a field Galgo Art Podenco Art greyhound art sighthound art

Latest News:

There are two new print releases for the month of June.

One is Windy Day, with two regal sighthounds standing in a field on a warm, windy afternoon. The sun getting lower in the sky casts dramatic light on these beautiful hounds, as fluffy seeds sail around in the air.

The second is Joy of Summer, where a small group of happy dogs play on the beach, amid a backdrop of the setting sun. The dogs bound in the surf and chase one another on a glorious summer evening.

Both images were lovingly hand-painted, digitally, in Procreate and are available as high resolution prints on Luster paper, 8 x 10“.

Visit the print shop to see full images and for more information.

In The Studio:

For me, the biggest news is that I’ve been able to make paintings that I truly like again!

After some difficult months where I just didn’t feel like I connected with my art, the joy of creating something seems to be back.

I have been greatly enjoying making several recent digital paintings, a couple of T-shirt designs (will share more on this soon), and have been working on a larger project that will be for an entertaining, dog themed, art video.

Hopefully, I will have some new and unique things to share in the weeks and months ahead.

At Home:

My little man is the center of my world at home. A handsome mix of what looks like Boston Terrier, Italian Greyhound, and maybe a splash of Chihuahua, he’s been soaking up all the extra play, training, and cuddles that come with being an only dog.

And, while beginning to look for a housemate for him is certainly high on the agenda, lately we’ve been taking some time to help him through one of his lifelong fears…vet visits.

I have found a local vet that practices Fear Free methods, so we have been going for “happy visits“, where he just goes in, explores, gets lots of treats, then back home. He also has some anti-anxiety meds for these visits. The people there are so patient and sweet with him. He’s been doing so good! Such a brave boy, I’m so proud of him.

He has his real visit in a few weeks, and once he’s all caught up on his regular veterinary maintenance, we plan on getting serious about the search for another dog to add to our little family.

I hope that your summer is off to a fun start!

Thank you so much for joining me in this crazy adventure with dogs and art!
